The government has spent 800 million rupees to carpet the road to Chichi’s hotel (“Chichi” is the popular nickname for Rohitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa).

MP Nalin Bandara has said in Parliament that how Rohitha Rajapaksa, who hasn’t even run a grocery store, obtained money to build a hotel in Rakwane, Sinharaja should be investigated.

He added that the government has even carpeted the road to the hotel at a cost of 8 million rupees.
